Jakub Stachowski is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Sociology and Political Science at Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. His research interests include a broadly defined relationship between mobility and rural communities. He is especially interested in aspects such as international migration, integration, socio-demographic revitalization of rural communities and rural social change. In his current project he explores how rural borderland communities in Norway and Poland cope with crises.
